Life Coaching is often seen as similar (yet different) than consulting, mentoring, therapy or counseling.
Life coaching approaches specific projects, success achievement and transitions in your personal, relationship, business or professional life through an exploration of what your current circumstances are and where you would most like to be in those circumstances.
In individual coaching, we take a personalized approach to getting from where you are to where you want to be by mapping out steps so that you will simply shift into the person you’ve been longing to be.
Creative Life Coaching differs from standard life coaching through taking an approach that focuses on a more “artsy” style than what one might expect from a more general life or business coach. We may cover similar but our view and our tools and our perspective will focus on engaging your senses and your creative processes to get there. We might use art journaling or poetry or watching a clip of a film to awaken insights and take action to improve your project or job or relationship.
HOW DOES LIFE COACHING WORK?
I have often said having a creative life coach is similar to going to a motivational seminar or retreat two or four times a month – with the speaker or leader of the seminar being at your service and completely focused on your success.
You will share stories, you will engage in thoughtful and deep conversation, you will experience collaborative moments of artful awareness so that your life will get better, easily. Your projects will become significantly different as you shift from old ways that aren’t serving you effectively to new methods that will fit your new, empowered self in your newly manifested or created life.
Imagine how it feels to watch the sunrise or how it is when you’re driving in a thick fog and then, either gradually or in a sudden burst of light, you are able to see again as the sun shines through the fog.
Oftentimes the fog disappears altogether.
It all starts with our contact via email or with a phone call and usually looks something like this:
INDIVIDUAL COACHING HAS THESE COMPONENTS:
Two or Four Phone or Skype sessions a month.
Ongoing Email discussions as needed to further clarify your ongoing success.
Fieldwork: a way to keep the creative life coaching sessions “alive” between sessions.
CURIOUS? READY TO SEE HOW CREATIVE LIFE COACHING WILL WORK FOR YOU?
